Review of New Orleans, Louisiana
Multilingual, multicultural, historic, charming, and beautiful… I will be coming back to NOLA!
After getting off the plane at Louis Armstrong International Airport, I caught the 45 minute E-2 bus toward downtown New Orleans, French Quarter. Navigating through the street construction, I was finally able to find the Louis Armstrong Park, which is peaceful and quiet in mid-January.
Then I headed toward the Mississippi, stopping on the way at the Old Church, Café du Monde, the French Market and to enjoy the street jazz performance. Once I reached the Mississippi, I took in the vastness of the river and headed up toward the Old Mint where I appreciated some artwork from slavery times, created by slaves and their descendants. A beautiful exhibit!
Finally it was time to head back to the airport, so I hopped on a streetcar to the E-2 bus stop, and decided that I love New Orleans!
